15 years after its original was delivered to the movie lovers, ‘Dragon’s sequel will touch down on August 28th 2015, marking the first feature film to be made available to ‘Netflix’ users on the same day it is serviced to select IMAX Theatres across the globe.
With this move, subscribers to the Internet TV platform will be able to enjoy the movie from the comfort of their homes on the day it drops, an idea praised by the movie’s production company The Weinstein Company, whose Co-Chairman Harvey Weinstein shared:
The moviegoing experience is evolving quickly and profoundly, and Netflix is unquestionably at the forefront of that movement. We are tremendously excited to be continuing our great relationship with Netflix and bringing to fans all over the world the latest chapter in this amazing and intriguing story.
As at writing, principle photography on the project is underway in New Zealand, led by ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’s Tom Sigel.

I saw the picture and had to read the title twice. That’s my favorite part of that movie, too!
OMG I’m so here for this!
Weird. Who will direct it? Ang Lee is phenomenal. I wouldn´t understand a sequel without him.
