Gabrielle Union has secured a leading role in the latest chapter of Disney’s ‘Lion King‘ story.
Full story below…
Union has joined the cast of ‘The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar’ which tells the story of an adult Simba and his wife Nala who are the proud parents of 11-year old Charles, a cub charged with protecting the Pride Lands from danger.
The TV movie will serve as a precursor the ‘Lion Guard’ TV series which will make its way to Disney Junior in 2016.
Gabrielle Union will play Nala and is joined by Sarah Hyland (Modern Family), Max Charles (The Strain), Atticus Shaffer (The Middle) and many more. James Earl Jones will be reprising his role as Mufasa (who lives on in spirit), and Ernie Sabella will be returning as Pumbaa.
Rob Lowe will portray Simba.
