In 2011 the performer released her second studio album ‘21′ which went on to sell over 30 million units worldwide.
Fans would go on to wait four years to get their hands on her next release ’25’ which hit retailers last Friday (November 20th.)
So, what was the singer up to during that time?
Well, if a new report released today is anything to go by it’d be safe to that she spent most of it making money…from her house.
For, the last year saw her sweep up $25 million as she raised her son Angelo in the city of London.
How?
Much of Adele’s earnings came from royalties following the sales of her previous two albums, 2008’s release 21, and 2011’s 21.
She is believed to now be worth an estimated £50m, which was double that of her closest rivals, One Direction (whose earnings are calculated as a group).And the £17 m ($25 million) made by her company last year is just the tip of the iceberg: Adele also owns Melted Stone Publishing, the company that takes the profits of her lyrics and sheet music, although the figures for that offshoot have yet to be revealed.
It goes without saying that her earnings are set to rise following the launch of the aforementioned ’25’ which is now set to surpass sales of 3 million units in the U.S. alone.
The set is expected to cross the 5 million units sold worldwide barrier by Christmas day.

Y’all kids just plain silly. These numbers are strictly from album sales. She didn’t tour due to vocal issues. Compare that to others who put there name on everything and tour for years to make that. If she does decide to tour she’ll slay records there to. Its her world for the next couple of years and NO ONE is competing.

I guess we might as well call a spade a spade: “25” is now officially the fastest selling diamond album of all time. Good job to her.
