RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that she’s been offered $2.5 million to return next season.
NeNe is always a ratings plus for the show,” a insider explained. “And the producers want to make sure the show stays strong. The reason it stays strong is NeNe, so they’re throwing money at her.”
The RHOA reunion show is still airing, but the source told Radar that Bravo execs want to ensure that Leakes continues to be a part of the show, because their new casting didn’t pan out this season.
“Kim [Fields] was not good,” the insider insisted. “The show needed NeNe to make her interesting, and they know that.”
“She will string the Bravo people along forever in order to cash in. She’s no dummy.”
For this amount let’s hope Leakes is willing to offer something new to the series because, when one takes the success of its last season into consideration, ‘Atlanta’ doesn’t always need the entertainer to work.
Should she deliver a ratings-pulling storyline (positive or not) the reported $2.5 million she’d pick up would be money well spent for Bravo. However, if her comeback will only see her observe and weigh in on storylines led by others, that money may be better spent on poaching two of ‘Married to Medicine‘s ladies to breathe new life and an authentic taste of Atlanta into the series.

Nene has not produced a good story line since Kenya’s and Porsha’s arrival. That is a waste of money. I hope they get rid of Phaedra and Kenya too.
Used to watch RHOA before Nene left. Kenya is just unbearable in my opinion and I had no interest in watching her rip into Kim Fields who is too classy for the show. But if Nene returns I’ll consider watching again because with her there, Kenya will not be the head bitc_. As for the Medicine cast I gave that show a chance but never got into it. Can’t imagine why Bravo would want to criss cross the casts when they should be trying to make the best out of both shows.

Nene never has a true storyline, but she always is entertaining. I would personally like to see Ms. Quad & Mariah Huq on the RHOA. They both are real housewives and ATLiens. Also, I wouldn’t mind Dr. Heavenly on RHOA too. Yes that voice is annoying, but if her and Phaedra didn’t get alone, could you imagine the confessional SHADE!!! between the two?
Agreed, Nene does not need to force/create a big dramatic storyline to be entertaining.

That’s not fair. They shouldn’t have to pay her all that money when she was the one who chose to leave and shade the show, yet she came crawling back after eating a piece of that humble pie. Whatever, though!
Sounds to me like they are the ones who are crawling back to Nene who stepped just long enough to demonstrate her value or to negotiate an increase in pay in order to come back. What’s so unfair? Bravo’s pockets will not suffer from paying Nene they are making a lot of money off of these women and I think Nene should go for it, good for her!
