June’s Diary are making all the right waves.
It’s been a year since the quintet were formed on hit BET series ‘Chasing Destiny’ and now they are striving to impact beyond that platform.
Currently putting the finishing touches on their debut mixtape, the ladies have served up a titillating taste of the project in the form of ‘Stay’ – a cover of the Jodeci classic.
Billed as being part of a broader homage to the male groups before them, the group unveiled the the Derek Blanks directed video for the track yesterday.
Now, That Grape Juice brings you an EXCLUSIVE behind the scenes look at how the visual was pieced together. Check it out above.
Yaaaassss JD!!!
They should’ve been a 3 piece
Cant deny these Chicks can SANGGGGGG. Id buy tickets to see them
Eh.
Good concept wrong group!!
Beautiful group of women! Beautiful voices! I hope also that they never break up. We need a solid, talented, loyal girl group out here.
They will go far. Folks want corny groups like 5th Harmony and Little Mix that try too hard to be s*** and sassy. These ladies are the real deal.
They are a better urban group then many that have came out in the years that have passed us by!! I love this version & it should be an iTunes CLASSIC!! ✌??
I will enjoy this mixtape but own material REQUIRED JUNE’S DIARY!!
I don’t like that the mixtape is going to pay male homeage
to male groups. If would have made more sense, if they
would have add wrap around and a couple of new songs to
the mixtape. I like this cover, but I am getting a little
tired of them doing covers. I want hear new music from
them.
Flops…..
I kinda wanna hear them do a cover of Drake’s Fake Love and totally knock it out the park! I’m SUPER ready for June’s Diary.
Im here for them!!
You cant always please this microwave society who think once you set foot in the industry you should have #1’s and platinum plaques. Let them cultivate their gifts and give them time to master their craft.
This diary has run out of pages. I can’t tell if they’re paying homage to Aaliyah’s style or if they actually believe they’ve originated something.
When did they say they originated that style? I’m sure its a nod to not only aaliyah but many 90s artists that came before then stfu
Nice
