The multi-hyphenate entertainer Alexandra Burke has signed up to compete on the hit show ‘Strictly Come Dancing.’
Set to reunite with her X-Factor pal Aston Merrygold, Burke (who has enjoyed a remarkable career in on the British equivalent to Broadway in recent years) will lead the show’s star-studded cast when it returns to BBC1 this year.
Sources close to production indicate Burke’s success as a singer and actress saw her bag one of the show’s larger contracts.

This was good and bad mood for her. It’s good in the sense that she will get paid and make more music as an independent artist, but bad in the sense that she will get booted off either first or second (before or after Aston) as people are crying that they are professional dancers.

Alexandra Burke is the only black person in recent times to win a British reality show. Plus I prefer strictly to xfactor so can’t wait to see her. Hopefully she doesn’t get the Pixie Lott treatment and is booted out too early.
