Jay-Z has broken his silence on comments made him by both Foxy Brown and Teairra Marì: “As far as Foxy or Teairra Marì, these are people that I have given chances to. It’s understandable that they would be upset, but you got to look at it from my point of view as well. I gave Teairra Marì the same shot I gave Rihanna. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.”

I am sure Teairra chose no daddy as the next single? I am soo sure. He tried to market her a certain way and it failed. He grown he can’t even admit that. He and other people at the record label tried to do something and it didn’t work. Whatever. There artist and you were there boss. If they really talk greasy about you they risk a chance of getting blackballed in the industry never to work in it again. I am glad Teairra is getting a second chance at interscope. Maybe with good singles and videos she can prove that she can hold her own in the music industry. We will see.

tierra was marketed sooo wrong its not even funny and i guess thats the growing pains of running the show. jays team in my opinion at teh time was never good at marketing rnb jzy z has had people in his camp for years that had talent in singing but couldnt market them IE Reel. But seems lesson was learned with RiRi. I mean the proof is in the pudding. regardless what talent we think she has thye hit it on the nail with marketing her correctly from the start. Teairra Mari is the bomb. I found it unfortunate that people had to look down upon her because she says the “n” word or swear in general. At the time she was a teenager but I want people to know that teenage girls do swear. The Rihanna debate… I firmly believe that rihanna is a puppet and she is talentless. I never really read anywhere about Teairra Mari dissing Jay-Z. They asked her what the relationship was like between her and Jay and she simply said there wasn’t one. And she also even said she was marketed wrong. She said she shouldn’t have been 16/17 with a parental advisory sticker on her album. I think people are forgetting that when you are a new artist you have no voice. You are given the writers and producers your label want you to have. Also your label is the one picking your singles. And their is no way in hell No Daddy should have been a single. They should of kept it moving with Phone Booth or M.V.P.
I feel like Jay-z only thinks about the money aspect of things, as you can see in his statment. I’m not for sure what happen between him and Foxy, but Teairra Mari had a chance. A good manger and marketer would had acknownledge the fact that he messed up and was pushing Rihanna more. She had the look but not the voice. Teairra wanted to finish high school. They really only need one star. Jay-z might want to take his own advice “You can pay for school, but you can’t buy class.” Well, he didn’t finish high school, and he sure doesn’t have any Class.
