Initial projections had the ‘Havana’ led set on course to open with 75,00-85,000 SPS (with 43k being from pure sales).
Now, less than a day later, Hits Daily Double have updated projections.
As at writing, ‘Camila’ is on track to deliver 85,000-95,000 (48-53k of which are pure).
The numbers see the former Fifth Harmony star land another jab against the competition in the race for the top spot.
Currently, she’s battling it out with ‘The Greatest Showman’ soundtrack. The movie LP has topped the Billboard 200 for two consecutive weeks and on each occasion experienced minimal droppage. For ‘Mila to score the #1, the OST will have to dip more than 20%.

better than FH! I guess People care about her
Only the streams are better . Their pure sales are not far apart and if you think about it 5H had bad campaign and no hit. She had a smash and she flopping hard
Her sells are better than 5H’s! Their last album only did 46K in pure sells. She’s predicted to do at the very least 2K(2,000) more than they did.
Stop trying to act like their last era wasn’t a complete flop. She’s been doing better than them since her first solo outing. She’s not even my cup of tea musically at all! However, it’s ok to give credit when it’s due. Her first solo era is on the verge of out doing or equalling every 5H era with just one single and album. Because lets be real for a second. Fifth Harmony streamed records but hardly sold a thing. I’m not even sure if they are even at 3 Million in real actual pure sells.
She has a #2 hit on the Hot 100. For her to be only 2k ahead shows that no one gives a f*** and she’s not doing better or ‘winning’ over them at all. I bet it’s basically the same kids buying both records
I don’t get her appeal.
Most of her fans are those Taylor Swift fans. She also has an additional appeal to her Latina side which helped fuel the success for Havana. Her album is quite boring though.. Would not spend money buying it or even streaming it more than once sadly.

I’m rooting for Camila nonetheless as “Havana” and “OMG” are my songs but her album is quite boring to me. As for the competition, I haven’t watched the movie to know about it.
She’s an ok dancer too but not like the ones below.

I think she definitely has a fanbase, but most of the streams this album is getting is out of curiosity to see what she has to offer solo and what if anything she has to say about 5H on the album…second week will drop like cray cray
