May 16th brought with it the long-awaited arrival of ‘Fall In Line’ – a staunch feminist anthem powered by powerhouse vocalists Christina Aguilera and Demi Lovato. Christened the lead single from the former’s June 15th-due eighth opus, ‘Liberation,’ the cut was instantly greeted with critical acclaim – a fanfare mirrored commercially as it almost immediately shot to #1 on digital sales tallies (click here to read more).
And, while that commercial support was further extended thanks to streaming, Youtube views, and later sales boosts afforded by the song’s first televised performance at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards (May 20), official chart rankings delivered some two weeks after ‘Fall’s premiere do not necessarily reflect the ballyhoo that preceded it.
Debuting at #1 on the Bubbling Under Charts (right outside of the Hot 100), ‘Fall’ – albeit starting off better than its predecessor, ‘Accelerate’ – is not exactly off to the best of beginnings. However, with promo set to ramp up in the coming days ahead of ‘Liberation’s delivery to digital shelves, the Jon Bellion-produced number will undoubtedly see some benefit of the public showings.

My girl Ella Mai is rising up the charts we it Bood Up. Yall support her please. Very few rnb songs make it this far these days and with a little more support she can be top 5. For Christina, her song is sounding better without Demi. She should release her solo version and let it work it’s way up the charts as a slow burner. The way the song is sung though it is only aimed at pop charts. Perhaps she should release a 3rd single before the album drops and secure good numbers debut week.

Well considering that RCA never sent the song to radio stations and that Christina isn’t promoting the song, its chart position is a small kind of accomplishment.
She performed at the Billboard awards and there is a new video for it. What more promotion do you need from a legendary artist like Christina?

The song hasn’t been sent to radio, and she’s only performed it live once. It still has time to become a hit, everything doesn’t have to happen in 1 week then free fall the next week. All this means is that itunes positions mean nothing. Cardi B has songs all over itunes but still hasn’t even reaches 175K in sales yet or seen another #1 song either.
I feel lime Christina is about to have another flop album. While likeable, none of these 3 songs are at the level of her talent. I hope there is better on the album…
Radio sucks! I heard Selena can’t sing Gomez a dozen times today and not once have I heard this song.
