Fans of OWN‘s ‘Greenleaf’ will be shouting “hallelujah” today, for it’s been announced that the megachurch drama has been renewed for a fourth season.
Details below…
The network confirmed the pick-up for the show, which is currently in the midst of its third run, moments ago.
Anchored by Merle Dandridge (Grace Greenleaf), Lynn Whitfield (Lady Mae Greenleaf, and Keith David (Bishop Greenleaf), the series has gripped viewers with its juicy take on what happens beyond the pulpit of one of Atlanta’s most prominent (fictional) churches.
A consistent performer for OWN, the show – which is co-produced by Oprah Winfrey – delivered a season high in its Wednesday night slot last week; for it commanded more than 2.3 million viewers. It was also the #1 telecast of the night for African American viewers across all of broadcast and cable.
