‘The Lion King’ has proven to be a roaring success on all corners of the globe and has the receipts to prove to it.
Helmed by Jon Favreau and anchored by top tier names such as Beyonce and Donald Glover, Disney’s photo-realistic remake of the 1994 classic has just crossed a colossal milestone.

Just 11 days after its release, the film as hit the $1 Billion gross mark at the worldwide box office.
Of the sum, $361 million was accrued in the US, while a whopping $638 million was tallied internationally.
Notable contributions to the latter come from China ($115 million), the UK ($48 million) and Brazil ($44 million).
The achievement sees the film become Disney’s fourth offering to reach said mark, with the preceding offerings being ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ ‘Captain Marvel,’ and ‘Aladdin.’

Confession: earlier today I laughed hard as hell reading ALL the Credits to THE LION KING: THE GIFT Album. Lol Bey has Writing producer and engineering Credit on EVERY single Track… Even on all the Intros lifted from the film. Bey gave HERSELF credit just for putting them on the album ?
I do belive bey wrote the Naomi cambel and Kelly Rowland part in Brown skinned girls but that’s probably the bulk of it. As heavy as bey claims her pensmenship is on Survivor and as much as she claims to have written the song DIL bey only has ONE song on her entire discography where she is the SOLE writer and that was a 14 second Spoken word intro on the DIL Album.
