It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly 20 years since the release of Jill Scott‘s breakthrough album, ‘Who is Jill Scott:  Words and Sounds Vol. 1.’

Originally released summer 2000, the LP instantly shot the poetic songstress into the Neo-Soul stratosphere on the backs of songs that would later become her signature ‘Gettin in the Way,’ ‘The Way,’ ‘He Loves Me,’ and ‘A Long Walk.’

Now, amidst reports the multi-talented diva is not only keeping busy with multiple acting projects but also working on new music, she’s tipping her hat to the set that made her a star via a commemorative anniversary tour.

Kicking off in Kansas City in February 2020, the trek’s first leg is set to touch a number of major U.S. cities including St. Louis, Minneapolis, Chicago, Houston, Orlando, and more before wrapping on March 21 in Columbia, SC.
