Charlie Puth is using Twitter to combat white supremacy and celebrate the human rights activists protesting against anti-blackness.
See below…
The Pop prince, whose R&B-flavoured album ‘Voicenotes‘ has sold over 1 million sales-equivalent units worldwide, took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the events sparked by the murder of the African-American man George Floyd.
I don’t understand these black boxes all over Instagram. White people’s voices are NEEDED to actively dismantle white supremacy. A hashtag that encourages white silence is the opposite of that. I will continue to educate myself and others today.

“You look like him.” Wow. 🤦🏼♂️ 2020. The year is 2020 and this is happening. The changes we need to make need to be prolonged beyond viral videos because unfortunately, this happens everyday and most of the time it isn’t filmed. https://t.co/FGEwJ86MdB

Thank you Charlie Puth for acknowledging the influence that our community has had on society as a whole. Glad to see there are at least a few kind hearted and educated white folks out there.
