A new song from Jessie J surfaced today. ‘Nobody’s Perfect’ will appear as track #2 on the singer/songwriter’s new album, ‘Who You Are’, on March 28th. Listen to the song below:
Jessie delivered yet another impressive performance on this record. What was most refreshing, however, was the fact that she didn’t emulate a West Indian dialect or accent while singing; a trend that is becoming increasingly popular and more cliche on the airwaves.
‘Who You Are’ is shaping up to be a very solid album. As buzz continues to build for the project, Jessie is almost certain to have a major hit in both the UK and the US.

This song is old as hell. -_-
Bye Ken Barb.
I WAS LITERALLY JUST LISTENING TO THISS!!
I THINK THIS IS HER BEST SO FAR; UPBEAT AND HIGHLIGHTS HER REALL
SINGING ABILITY
SHES GONNA BLOWW UP, IM TELLING YOU
LOVE HERR
Love it. I’m really getting into her. And yes, being Jamaican, if ur gonna attempt at enunciating with a West indian accent, do it justice. or furthermore, have some West Indian roots (see Rihanna and Nicki Minaj). Lil Kim stop, Keri Hilson, stop! And all the others…
^^
LMAO
@ Trent, why would she do that anyway? The song isn’t even that type of song.
0_o
^^ LOL EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING
So I guess its safe to say that the whole payolla scheme never went away…because you keep posting about this chick and I have no clue of what she sing/raps and have no interest in finding out…maybe after I hit this *blank* i’ll check out some of her stuff. I might like it…until then…this is Rihanna daily right…where’s the Rih Rih post.?
theres no link :S
I wonder why none of the black blogs have featured this article that was in the Independent that states that the UK music industry is more than happy to push girls like Jessie J, Adele, Duffy and Amy Whinehouse the white girls that sing black but black british female singers other than Alexandra Burke have all but disappered from the UK charts.I wish we were more serious minded in the black community.Rox, Keshia White and Sabrina are far better.

MY JESSIEEEE J I LOVE HERR BUT THIS SONG ISNT NEW LOL BUT ITS GOOD SAME WAYS
i keep hearing about this chick and i already want her to go away
I can’t wait to get this album. QUALITY! TALENT! This is what “I” NEED!
I’m truly glad that she’s doing well for herself. I love artists who write their own songs, but at least as of now, I’m not really into her voice. Not that she doesn’t have vocal talent, I just don’t love the way she sounds.
ru sure that the song aint hannah montans song cuz nobodys perfect is 1 of her songs looooooooooool
I LUV THIS GIRL!!!!!!
I am really in LOVE with this girl’s voice! And I’m LOVING this song, I can’t wait for her album to drop!
She is GREAT. I love her voice, and her attitude! She’s really worked hard. Now as far as the “black” issue. People aren’t saying she’s “singing black”. Emulating a west indian accent or singing music the black people created is okay, but there is two problems. Emulating an accent can come off as a caricature or insensitive when that place has a history of WHITE colonial rule. The second problem is that, of course, white artists get TONS of attention for singing jazz/pop or R&B. They get more attention and more marketing dollars because they have more “appeal” aka, they’re white.
So DUH no-one can sing “black”, but don’t act like there isn’t racial politics at work here.
And P.S.
She wrote “Do it Like A Dude” for Rihanna, a west indian. She was nervous about singing it, too. It’s still a little strange, but she was thinking about emulating the accent and how that might be offensive.
this has been out for months
Omg I love it
I Am Tired of seeing this Snow White on Crack looking girl….
She is nothing special at all.
Anyway.
i agree with likeCAESAR
i hate when people say someone “sings black”
Love Jessie J…. def one to watch for 2011. I wish her all the success in the world she is mega talented and deserves it!!! I will be buying her album without a doubt 🙂
This song is not new it’s been around for over a year.
Anyways i LOVE this song and LOVE, been following her career since early 2009. So glad she is blowin up!!!!
This song ROCKS! Can’t wait for the album
wow its sound good
@DION-ISH
What the hell is your problem? Every Jessie post on TGJ has your name in the f****** comments section. WE GET THAT YOU DON’T LIKE JESSIE. WE GET THAT YOU DON’T LIKE ‘DO IT LIKE A DUDE’, and finally we get that you can’t seem to muster another insult other that “Snow White on crack looking girl”. If you’re so tired, don’t read the posts! There are artists that TGJ feature that I really can’t stand, however I don’t WASTE MY TIME cussing about them. No, I keep scrolling or change website.
Now on to more important things, this song is awesome! But it’s not exactly new :p
Um.. as far as sounding black, you dumbasses, people of color usually have a distinctive tone that tells you that they are of black decent. I have noticed it in America, the UK, Africa, and the islands. It’s the same with whites! It has nothing to do with being proper or sounding ghetto, it’s the actually tone. That’s why when you hear someone’s voice on the phone and they have a tone of a “white person‘s” and you see them and find out they’re black , in you’re mind you are a bit surprised. It’s not racial at all, that’s just life. It’s more of sounding like the stereotypical race because not all races talk like “how they’re perceived.” Anyway, I can’t get into this chick. She tries too hard and it amazes me how whites always succeed when they release soul and Jazz music but blacks never do. It has nothing to do with promo because this chick had people going crazy over her with just her youtube videos. Why are people so obsessed with color when it comes to being mainstream? I love, love Amy Winehouse so I don’t care if a white person makes jazz or soul, but I just always found that odd and unfair.
I love this song . This girl is got so much talent. I wish her the best for 2011
I really really ADORE this chick. I hope she realllllly blows up and people really support her. If artists that have substance and style become the hot new thing then I guarantee labels will attempt to scout for more like that. We do already have some artists that have both but there are far too many choosing to let the studio do all the work and not working with their vocal teachers enough.
I don’t necessarily like every song she has ( she kinda reminds me of Natasha Bedingfield- song wise) but her voice……………HOT DAMN MAMA!!
I’M REALLY FEELIN HER…FIRST “DO IT LIKE A DUDE” THEN “PRICE TAG”….SHE REALLY MAKIN ME INTO A BELIEVER OF HER…SHE IZ SINGIN SOOOOO GOOD ON DIZ SONG!!! GOOD TO SEE FRESH FRESH TALENT!!!
good song
