‘Space Jam’ is heading back to the screens led by NBA legend LeBron James.

With ‘Black Panther’s Ryan Coogler on-board to produce and Don Cheadle also starring, the hotly anticipated follow-up to the 1996 original hits theaters in Summer 2021.

Filming on the flick (which is officially titled ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’) recently wrapped and audio from James’ closing speech to cast and crew has surfaced.

“I’m gonna be honest completely with you guys — when I found out about the project, I was like it’s ‘Space Jam’! It’s a movie that I grew up watching. People in the movie that I idolize. I was like absolutely, I gotta do it. There’s no way I can turn down ‘Space Jam’!

With the Michael Jordan led original generating a colossal $230 million at the global box office, ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’ no doubt has tall sneakers to fill.

Given the names and clear care involved, we’re optimistic.

‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’ opens July 16 2021.
