For, the Hollywood titan is set to receive the prestigious Governors Award at the Emmys 2020.

The Madea creator, who recently made history with the opening of the Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, will be being recognized for his achievements in television and his consistent commitment to offering opportunities to marginalized communities.
Historically, The Governors Award has been handed out during the Creative Arts Emmys. Yet, this year sees it graduate to the main Emmy telecast – thus ensuring millions of viewers – on September 20.
Speaking on Perry’s honor, Governors Award selection committee Chair Eva Basler said in a statement:
“Tyler Perry has changed the face of television and inspired a new generation of content creators. He pioneered a new brand of storytelling that engages people of color both in front of and behind the camera, and his shows have resonated with a global audience.”
Committee Vice Chair Debra Curtis added:
“Tyler’s influence has extended far beyond the screen. His commitment to a broad range of philanthropic causes has had a profound impact on underserved communities around the world.”

We can see he is black and owns studio larger than everyone else combined.. His acceptance speech should not just be black black black

His product is crap, but I appreciate his business. Filming 22 episodes of a drama in 10 days. Explains why his stuff stinks. He should try hiring black writers instead of the scribble nonsense he does.
