For, it’s been announced that she’s joined new ABC music drama pilot, ‘Queens,’ alongside rapper Eve.

As reported, the show centers around a group of four estranged women in their 40s.
Back in the 90s, the ladies were members of the legendary Hip-Hop group, the Nasty Bitches.
Fast forward to the present and their realities are all sorts of different.
However, an opportunity arises for the group to reunite and former besties have the chance to step back into the spotlight. Viewers will see the journey unfold from there.
According to Variety, Brandy will play Naomi, who went by Xplicit Lyrics in the group. Touted as the musical nucleus of the group, she was certain she’d go on to mainstream success after the band’s break-up.
That wasn’t meant to be and audiences will meet Naomi playing local bars for audiences wanting the nostalgia of heyday.
The Nasty Bitches reunion brings with it a chance at redemption, not just musically but personally.
Because beyond the beats, on the journey of the group’s return, she crosses paths with the one man she loved and also sees a brand new opportunity to repair the relationship with the daughter she was
The series is billed as having a heavy musical skew and it’s been confirmed that original music performed by the characters.
‘Queens’ is being creatively helmed by Zahir McGhee, Sabrina Wind, and ABC Signature.
The show adds to B-Rocka’s impressive acting resumé, which includes hit sitcoms such as ‘Moesha’ and ‘The Game,’ as well as stage productions like ‘Chicago.’

..And that is why I will NOT be watching. They didn’t learn from the mistakes of Empire that no one wants to be forced to sit through musical numbers on a weekly tv show. Especially with today’s music.
