Chris Brown and Drake have found themselves in some hot water.
For, the duo is being sued over ‘No Guidance.’
More details below…
According to TMZ, Brandon Cooper and Timothy Valentine are suing the music superstars and claiming that they took their track ‘I Love Your Dress’ and made it into ‘No Guidance.’
Cooper and Valentine’s ‘I Love Your Dress’ was released three years before ‘No Guidance’ and they claim that Drake and Brown’s song is derived from, if not copied all together, from their tune.
Specifically, the singer and producer claim their track has the lyrics: “She got it; she got it” repeated 16 times while Brown and Drake’s has “You got it, girl; you got it” at least 11 times.
The producer and singer are suing the two artists for copyright infringement.
Neither Brown nor Drake has commented on the matter as of now.
The words “you got it (girl)” are way too common a phrase for someone to copyright. These clowns are reaching with every fiber and extremity of their beings
I promise NO ONE heard this song and said “let’s copy the ‘she got it line” because NO ONE HEARD THIS SONG!
Black people don’t steal do they..?
Chris and Drake don’t have to comment. He somebody nobody heard of but his name in thier news now.
