In breaking news, Adele has announced the immediate postponement of her Las Vegas residency ‘Weekends With Adele’ – just one day before its launch.

The hotly anticipated series, which is housed at Caesars Palace in Sin City and was announced in November, was set to play its opening show tomorrow (January 21).
Instead, a tearful Adele took to social media to share that COVID-19 related delays mean a necessary delay to the start of the residency.
She told fans:
“Listen, I am so sorry but my show ain’t ready. We have tried absolutely everything to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you but we have been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and Covid. Half my team, my crew are down with Covid. They still are and it’s been impossible to finish the show. I can’t give you what I have right now and I’m gutted. And I’m sorry it’s so last minute. We’ve been awake for over 30 hours trying to figure it out. We’ve run out of time and I’m so upset and really embarrassed. And I’m so sorry to everyone that has traveled again.”

I read the comments of her instagram and I must say even though I believe her, if this was a Beyoncé or a Mariah or any other non white woman the whole world would’ve lost their sh*t. But then again Beyoncé or Mariah hell even Rihanna would’ve never been caught in something so amateur ish. Announcing and selling tickets before you get everything done? Especially when all she needs is a light, a mic and a piano. I’d be pissed I imagine there people from all over the world that traveled for this. Oh well
My only issue is the last minute announcement. If she knew by Wednesday it wasn’t ready for Saturday the announcement should’ve been made (social and email to patrons) back then instead of hoping to get it done by Saturday that way people didn’t travel to Vegas. A show should be ready to go at least a week out. But mistakes happen and we can’t help C**** so I still love Adele and am not mad. I feel her pain! But I do think being she should’ve been able to find someone since all she really needs is a mic and spotlight like someone else mentioned. It’s different if it were like a Beyonce show where you got costumes, pyrotechnics, dancers, visual videos, backup singers, full bands, lighting that helps tell the story. But either way if she feel like this the best decision then I respect and don’t hate her for it. She still my Taurean ♉️ sister so I know she gave it her best. We are super perfectionists!!!!
