‘Orange is the new Black’ star Dascha Polanco has confirmed the death of her boyfriend, producer Dominican music producer Xtassy Beats.

Taking to Instagram, the actress shared the news via social media by way of an open letter – in which she poured out her emotions.

Polanco wrote:

“I’m broken, I’m distraught. Have no words at this moment. 
Thank you to all that have reached out. But I would appreciate for those wanting to know about his death to wait until I’m ready to speak about my boyfriend, before falsifying the cause of his death. 

Please respect my, our, and @Xtasssys family grieving process. It’s been hard on us all. Especially his kids. 

I will share updates on his memorial soon. Love to you all.”

Xtassy (real name Juan Abreu) was part of production duo A&X and was just 37.
