Wendy Williams‘ health problems may spell the end of her reign on daytime TV, according to a new report.
Full story below…
Citing sources close to the developments behind the scenes, Variety reports that the media maven will not be returning to her own show this season.
As extensively covered here on That Grape Juice, Williams’ comeback has been delayed several times while she’s battled health issues.
Now, sources are saying that guest anchor Sherri Shepherd is being lined up as a permanent host of the daytime talker for the rest of the current 13th season. This would be in place of the revolving door of names that have stepped in to fill Williams’ vacant purple chair.
What’s more, TV veteran Shepperd is said t be in “advanced talks” with the production company about fronting her own show.
Here’s where it gets…well…juicy.
Producers are said to be welcoming of a possible Williams return and, as of writing Shepherd’s proposed show would be its own entity – not a titular replacement for the current Wendy series.
Yet, at the same time, should Shepherd’s talker be greenlit and Williams not return, it’s believed the new show will air in the current timeslot. So, take from that what you will.
What a mess. I wonder if they’ll ever give a statement about what’s going on with Wendy. Viewers need SOME kind of answer
All I know is she was anti C**** vax for a while and Dr Oz said she would be invited for dinner and she hasn’t been the same since
They both shaped funny💀
Who couldn’t see this coming. The divorce, the younger woman, the love child, her moms death, c****, her drug relapse, no real friends and all the years of negative energy she faithfully conjured up has taken its toll. She needs rehab, therapy, and a new start. Leave the mean gossiping and messy persona behind. That way of life is too toxic at this point in life.
Black women please stop wearing clothes to small for you.
I just wanna say that these body shaming comments clearly have nothing to do with the subject matter. Likely coming from individuals with their own body shape insecurities. Anyway, I love both Wendy and Sherri. They both bring a completely different flavor to entertainment news. I wish Wendy the best, but honey your health is most important. Praying for you and your family, and I hope you get well soon.
