Janet Jackson has re-teamed with Lifetime for a documentary event.

After breaking records with her self-titled documentary last year (which was watched by over 21 million), the legendary superstar has announced an all-new special with the network.
Christened ‘Janet Jackson: Family First,’ the documentary will follow the diva as she gears up to hit the road on her 2023 Together Again Tour, and her collaboration with brother Randy Jackson to reunite the family band after 40 years since their last performance.
Like her debut doc, ‘Family First’ – which is being filmed now – will be shepherded by Jackson in her own words and skew raw and unfiltered.
Speaking on the special, which she is executive producing, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer said:
“I was touched by the love and support from the wonderful fans who enjoyed the documentary last year. I am excited to continue to share my story, and welcome fans into my life and the ‘Together Again’ tour. Thank you for your never-ending support, and I hope you enjoy the next chapter.”
Randy Jackson, who is also exec producing, added:
“In this next chapter in the documentary, Janet and I are thrilled to welcome viewers on the road with us as we embark on the ‘Together Again’ tour, celebrating the milestone of 50 years of Janet’s career with fans across the country. We look forward to the continued partnership with Lifetime and A&E, and to sharing our family with viewers.”
‘Janet Jackson: Family First’ is set to simulcast on Lifetime and A&E at a date to be announced soon.

Nice. Her last documentary was extremely successful. I thought some new music would follow but here we are. Luckily her catalogue is so legendary that she doesn’t need anything new but it would be nice considering she was teasing a new album.🫠

Please do not make yourself look and feel bad. Janet is beautiful and still singing wonderfully. She comes from a talented family. I wish I could meet and talk to her personally. Be kind to yourself and lift your spirits. I’m sure you can.
