With the live-action take on animated classic ‘The Little Mermaid’ gearing up to make one of the year’s biggest splashes at the box office on its May 26 arrival, Disney is inviting moviegoers to get acquainted with the movie’s soundtrack ahead of time.
Delivered Friday (May 19), the ‘Mermaid’ soundtrack sailed to digital music streaming outlets courtesy of Walt Disney Records and boasts vocal contributions from its star Halle Bailey as well as Daveed Diggs, Awkwafina, Melissa McCarthy, and more.
The set’s credits are also lined with a score from Academy Award winner Alan Menken, lyrics from EMMY, TONY, and GRAMMY-winning songwriter-composer-playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda, music supervision and production from Mike Higham, and others.
