Burna Boy is aiming to blaze once again and this time it’s with the help of a beloved Brandy classic.
Full story below…
The African Giant towered tall with global smash ‘Last Last’ – which famously sampled Toni Braxton’s ‘He Wasn’t Man Enough.’
Looking o capitalize more on the fusion of the fresh and the nostalgic, the Nigerian-born stage blazer has lined up new single ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’ – which samples Brandy’s like-titled 1998 smash.
With a June 2 release date set (which is just one day before his mammoth show at London Stadium), Burna has shared a titillating preview. Check it out:

The news comes on the heels of Burna Boy scorching the stage at the inaugural Afro Nation Miami – where he wowed over 20,000 revelers with hit after hit.
He was joined on the bill by the likes of Asake, Mavado, Uncle Waffles, and more.
Sampling has gotten so lazy and uninspired…
COMING FROM A MONICA FAN STFU
The sampling has got to stop. At this point it’s nota sample at all, it’s the burna boy ‘Top of the World’ remix, which makes me wonder – why was this necessary?
I love the it
The beat and vocals on Brandy’s song were already so good that the sample needed to be more creative for it to work. The beat they came up with isn’t better than the original song and it sounds awful giving Brandy’s voice that chipmunk effect. As much as people praise Brandy’s voice, why would he alter said voice and share a clip like he did something special?
Better not ruining the classic
ruined it
