Pop monarch Cher had nothing but royal praises for Kelly Clarkson after the ‘American Idol’ alum took to her eponymous daytime talk show to deliver a rocking cover of ‘DJ Play a Christmas Song‘ – the lead single from the former’s history-making holiday album ‘Christmas.’

Fresh from two EMMY wins over the weekend, Clarkson – who is no stranger to receiving adulation for her ‘Kellyoke’ segment over the years – got the ultimate nod Wednesday (December 20) when Cher took to Twitter to give kudos.

“Kelly…you aced it,” the 77-year-old icon shared (as seen in the tweet above). “Babe, I am out of my mind over your version.”

The performance comes not long after Clarkson revealed that ‘DJ’ is her favorite Christmas song since Mariah Carey‘s ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You.’

The acclamation arrives just days after the ‘If I Could Turn Back Time’ singer received similar fanfare herself for the latest live rendition of the Mark Taylor-produced tune on the ‘2023 Royal Variety Performance.’
