The Oscars 2024 air Sunday, March 10, starting at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET live on ABC.
What do you think of the nominations?
Due to the fact that Oscar has enforced Forced diversity in movies, We officially boycott Oscar until further notice.
You should bury yourself. Diversity is the new equality and is going to stay, if you boycott the Academy Awards or not.
If youre truly about equality and fairness then your stance doesnt make any sense. Many of these institutions are like an old boys club. Whether intentionally or subconsciously they gravitate towards their own and that affects judgement and appreciation which can lead to cinematic gems being overlooked.
Doing a refresh of the board and making it more representative of the diverse films produced is only a good thing.
Chile, I’m with you. I prefer it to be organic. I don’t like quotas for movies. That’s just dumb.
there is no 100% equality in this world so y’all people need to stop fighting. Trust me it will create more hatred among the races. All these stupid forced diversity movement are absolutely non-sense and that’s why many Hollywood stars are boycotting Oscar, #ALL LIVE MATTER
All lives do matter. But not all lives are subject to equality and fair treatment which is why targeted support and movements are needed to address such inequalities.
You sweeping that under the rug is the equivalent of saying forget cancer charities, forget A*** charities ALL diseases matter so there should be equal funding and attention for them all regardless of whether there are epidemics related to specific diseases whilst other diseases are thoroughly under control.
Doesnt make sense does it?
You have good intentions but are misguided and are not appreciating the complexities of the situation.
Targeted support is necessary in some circumstances in order to achieve equality.
Same ole same ole…Halle Berry will continue her streak as the ONLY EVER black woman to win best actress. Heck, they didn’t even bother to nominate one this year. As per usual, a black female will have a shot at supporting actress and a black male will have a shot at lead actress, but the academy refuses to view black women as worthy of best lead. No one can convince me that in all these years, Halle Berry was the only black woman worthy of winning in that category. Will not be watching.
Black women not winning = Not happy, will not be watching.
Black women winning = Still not happy, will not be watching.
You people are just hard to please.. If you people want to see All Black folks win, go watch Black Reel Awards. Oscar and academy are not for y’all to watch.
I think there’s an error on the best actress list. I keep seeing articles about Barbie being snubbed in the best actress category, I think this post is mistaken on Margot Robbie in the best actress nomination list.
