Longtime fans of CBS’ daytime talk show ‘The Talk’ are being reminded all good things must come to an end.
Taking to press on Friday (April 12), CBS announced the EMMY-winning talk series had been renewed for its 15th and final season.
Currently hosted by Akbar Gbajabiamila, Jerry O’Connell, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, and Sheryl Underwood, ‘The Talk’ – which has also boasted names like Leah Remini, Holly Robinson Peete, Carrie Ann Inaba, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Aisha Tyler, Eve, Julie Chen Moonves, Sharon Osbourne, Elaine Welteroth, and Marie Osmond on its hosting panel over the years – will receive a “proper sendoff” in December 2024.
“‘The Talk’ broke new ground when it launched 14 years ago by returning daytime talk to CBS with a refreshing and award-winning format,” said CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach and CBS Studios president David Stapf in a joint statement. “Throughout the years, it has been a key program on CBS’ top rated daytime line-up as it brought timely, important and entertaining topics and discussions into living rooms around the globe.”
The series won 14 Daytime Emmy Awards over its run, including two for best entertainment talk show.
At the time of this report the official season 15 premiere date has not been announced.
