Normani Returns! Blazes Spotify’s ‘RNB X After Hours’ with ‘Candy Paint’, ‘Wild Side’, & More

Published: Wednesday 13th Nov 2024 by Sam

Normani made her grand return to the stage at Spotify’s RNB X After Hours showcase last night (November 12).

Housed in D.C., the multi-act extravaganza brought with it dazzling performances from the stage blazer as well as co-headliner Bryson Tiller. Other acts on the bill included Leon Thomas and Destin Conrad.

The show served as the first concert to feature material from Normani’s long-awaited album ‘Dopamine.’

And with fans still awaiting visuals from the project, it’s also the first showing (in any capacity) of beloved bops such as ‘Candy Paint’ and ‘Big Boy.’

Watch highlights from the Howard Theatre spectacle, which opened with ‘Wild Side,’ after the jump…

The way this girl has fallen off completely.

    Album tanked
Rca records must be regretting signing her

They thought they were signing Beyonce, they didn’t know they were signing farrah with no luggage

All she’s doing is humping…no wonder why she’s flopping. Her music is trash music for Zeus baddies and boys who wanna be them.

She is soooo 2000 late for everything. Gurl bye! All I can see is a random Black female dancer and that’s it! No one hype for her now. Be gone! Ho!

Yall still tryna make Normani happen? Her marketing is lacking, and timing inconsistent. She needs a new team. Nobody is checking for year old music.

Normani’s music should win a best female award for dopamine.
She is my new favorite artist for right now

There’s a part of me that still wants Normani to win, but she’s got to move differently now to distinguish herself. In these clips, she looks like she’s running in the lane carved by Chloe. And I know a lot of that is simply timing, but a change in costuming, hair, and staging might help…

I wanted her to win so bad but unfortunately she didn’t want it herself 🤷🏾‍♂️
