Eight months after rocking headlines with the shocking news they were heading to Splitsville, celebrity couple Chance the Rapper and Kirsten Corley have confirmed they’re moving forward with ending their five-year marriage.

According to multiple reports, Corley officially filed for divorce from her GRAMMY-winning husband on Friday (December 13).

The news comes months after the parents of two took to social media to announce their intent to split.

“After a period of separation, the two of us have arrived at the decision to part ways. We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together,” the post from April stated.

For some, the news came as little surprise as just some months prior Chance (born Chancelor Bennett) was seen dancing provocatively in Jamaica with another woman during his 2023 birthday celebration.

And while neither party has spoken about the most recent divorce news, their April message did reiterate their intent to amicably co-parent.

“God has blessed us with two beautiful girls who we will continues to raise together,” they relayed at the time in a joint statement. “We kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate this transition.”
