Netflix is set to premiere ‘The Residence’, a captivating murder mystery series starring Uzo Aduba.
Details below…
The new series is the brainchild of Shonda Rhimes known for popular shows like ‘Scandal’ and ‘Orange is the New Black’ – which also starred Aduba.
This Shondaland production offers a fresh take on the White House with its focus being the residential staff.
The actor known for her role as ‘Crazy Eyes’ in the prison drama ‘Black,’ is on the other side of the cell portraying Cordelia Cupp, a detective investigating a murder.
Aduba spoke on her role to Netflix saying:
“What makes Cordelia part of the catalog of Shondaland heroines is that she’s strong, she doesn’t mince words, she’s unapologetically herself.”
‘The Residence’ producer Paul William Davies also opened up to the streamer and amped up the anticipation. He said:
“‘The Residence’ is honestly a lot of things. It’s funny, its suspenseful, its clever, it’s totally farcical in places, it’s genuinely romantic in others.”
