Mariah the Scientist fans anxious to see the rising R&B diva aboard her forthcoming ‘Hearts Sold Separately Tour‘ were given a taste of what’s to come courtesy of a scorching performance on Tuesday’s ‘Jennifer Hudson Show‘ (October 14).

Acting as the episode’s musical guest, Scientist (born Mariah Buckles) wowed audience members and at-home viewers with live takes on her breakthrough Top 40 hit ‘Burning Blue‘ as well as its well-received, Kali Uchis-assisted follow-up ‘Is It a Crime.’

This, while backed by a three-man band and two background singers donning military-inspired gear.
