Adekunle Gold brought his flavorsome brand of Afro-Pop to the Southbank Centre in London as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival last night (November 23).

Towering tall as one of the genre’s most versatile talents, the music royal lived up to said billing at the show, which saw him joined by the Guildhall Orchestra.

Fusing the pulsating sounds of the Afro diaspora with classical instrumentalists, the Nigerian-born supernova delivered an unforgettable sonic experience.

Commanding the stage at the Royal Festival Hall with seasoned ease, the 38-year-old thrilled with hits known and new, including several from his freshly unwrapped ‘Fuji’ album.

Indeed, he sent the capital into a feverish frenzy with the likes of ‘High,’ ‘Ire,’ ‘Sade,’ ‘Damn, Delilah,’ and viral smash ‘Many People.’

Self-ordained as the “big fish,” Gold made a big splash in London and left an indelible mark with his most captivating live experience to date.
