Yikes! Lambs Slam Kesha’s “Pitchy Karaoke” Tribute to Mariah Carey at GRAMMY Week Event: “She Sounded a Mess”

Published: Saturday 31st Jan 2026 by Rashad

Much like Muni Long learned after garnering staunch criticism for her award show performance of ‘We Belong Together,‘ Pop diva Kesha is finding out fans of Mariah Carey (affectionately called #Lambs) don’t play when it comes to tributes.

One of many superstars on hand to perform their renditions of Carey’s greatest hits in honor of the music royal being crowned MusiCares Person of the Year on Friday (January 30), the ‘Tik Tok‘ singer joined a lineup of powerhouse vocalists that included John Legend singing ‘Hero,’ Teddy Swims wailing ‘Without You,’ Jennifer Hudson wowing with ‘My All,’ and more.

And while those performers got general thumbs up for their covers, Kesha wasn’t as fortunate when it came to her unique take on Mimi’s 2009 smash ‘Obsessed.’

Hop inside to see highlights of the overwhelmingly negative social media user reactions to the performance.

Kesha, the refrigerator built Satanist, Chile. I can’t believe her fame had lasted this long.

These lambs are dumb. Kesha is never a powerhouse vocalist. I was expecting a rap/EDM version of we belong together from her.

Then ask K Ci and JoJo or SisQo or Tank, Ginuwine instead of these can’t sing for life b******
