Madonna Says She’s “Grateful & Surprised” by Historic US & UK #1 Debut of ‘Confessions II’: “Still Pinching Myself”

Published: Monday 13th Jul 2026 by Rashad

Thanks to her fifteenth studio album ‘Confessions II,’ Queen of Pop Madonna found herself in a familiar position this week: the Billboard 200 throne.

Her 10th chart-topper since first ruling over the tally with 1984’s ‘Like a Virgin,’ the LP  – kicked off by the warmly received ‘Bring Your Love‘ single featuring Sabrina Carpenter – soared to the top of the all-genre hitlist in historic fashion

As if that wasn’t enough to celebrate, Madge also learned ‘Confessions II’ was printed in Billboard 200 and UK Official Charts’ respective history books – extending her unprecedented run on both rankings.

Overwhelmed by the critical and commercial response of the project, the 67-year-old Pop monarch took to social media on Monday (July 13) to express gratitude to her diehard fans for their years of support.

Read her touching words inside.

Taking to Instagram, M imparted heartfelt thanks to her 20.2 million followers on the platform for the out-of-the-box success of ‘Confessions II.’

“Words cannot express how Grateful and Surprised I am By the incredible reception Confessions on a Dance Floor II has received,” she shared. “Thank You -to everyone who has been a part of this and who has helped make this dream come true. Especially my Fans . The Goodwill and positivity has been incredible. I’m still pinching myself. I can’t believe it’s # 1 all around the world. 🎉🥳 🪩. My dream was to make people dance this summer!! To bring people JOY! Dreams do come true. Thanks and love! ♥️💃”

The conceptual follow-up to 2005’s chart-topping ‘Confessions on a Dance Floor,’ ‘Confessions II’ stormed record shelves on July 3.

She’s so delulu, thinking this mid-tier album that barely sold 150k in the US is anything but a nap attack. That’s not a flop, that’s a full-on snooze fest—no energy, attitude sourer than expired milk left out in the sun. At this rate, her next “tour” will be headlining Bingo halls, and even the senior citizens will be too busy napping to care. Honestly, the only thing selling faster than her records is the aspirin for the audience’s headache. 😆

The queen is back and in full effect…and you’re NOT. It’s ok to be sad and depressed like you are when your life is filled with such shhhhh

You’re delusional. You know it’s an awful album.

Yo, the worst cover album of 2026 gotta be her, Lizzo and Ariana lookin’ like a Photoshop gone wild, bad lighting and all, like my 15 year old niece snapped that with her iPhone and still did better as if she s sittin’ on a coffin…. dead inside, no energy like all her flopped singles. For real, that cover got me sayin’, “who let y’all do this?!” It’s straight-up DIY cry for help disaster, no kidding…

Agreed. It’s bad. The music is worse.

She can’t be that surprised since she thought the reviews and plays. This whole album is garbage and the critics all wrote eerily similar review. Obvious scam.
