Patti LaBelle’s Nephew Claims Trump Support Led to “Lifetime Banishment” From Icon’s Life

Patti LaBelle's nephew William Byl Holte claims Trump support fueled family fallout Patti LaBelle is at the center of a family firestorm after her nephew and adopted son, William “Byl” Holte, aired out their alleged years-long fallout.

And according to Holte, his support of Donald Trump sits at the heart of the fractured relationship.

Full story below…

Holte claims tensions reached boiling point around Christmas 2019, after LaBelle informed him that he would have to move out of the home they had shared for 12 years.

Recalling a political discussion with the family, he alleged:

“So when I heard her and my family talking about what a threat Trump was, I asked her ‘why should I be afraid of Trump when you’re the one who just made me homeless?’ Her family instantly attacked me and threw me out of her house.”

According to Holte, the drama did not end there. He further claimed that speaking publicly about his life with the legendary singer resulted in what he described as a “lifetime banishment” and that he remains estranged from LaBelle and members of her inner circle.

The pair’s political differences are not new. LaBelle addressed the subject in a 2020 interview with Oprah Daily, making clear at the time that their opposing views had not erased her love for him.

“I love Billy. He has a Republican mind. And, guess what? I don’t. But do I hate him for having the mind that he has? No, I can’t.”

Holte, however, maintains that the relationship has since deteriorated and is standing firmly by his political stance.

In his lengthy post, he wrote:

“Here’s what supporting TRUMP cost me: My aunt is Patti LaBelle, famous singer AND DEMOCRAT. Christmas 2019, she had just informed me that I had to move out of the home I had happily shared with her for 12 years. So when I heard her and my family talking about what a threat Trump was, I asked her ‘why should I be afraid of Trump when you’re the one who just made me homeless?’ Her family instantly attacked me and threw me out of her house. And just last year, she had a problem with me talking about my life with her on this platform. My punishment for using my 1st Amendment right this way was LIFETIME BANISHMENT. And as of today, she’s still not speaking to me. And because SHE’S not speaking to me: NO ONE IN HER CIRCLE IS SPEAKING TO ME. And this will apparently last the rest of my life. WHY? Because NO ONE VIOLATES AND DISRESPECTS DEMOCRACY AND FREE SPEECH MORE THAN DEMOCRATS. I learned that lesson on Black Christmas 2019, and I’ve been learning it ever since. And even though I’ve gotten out of politics, they still hate me. But all that tells me is that I’m doing something RIGHT. Because I’d rather vote Republican because I WANT to, than Democrat because I HAVE to. God Bless America 🇺🇸.”

With that, what are…

How does this tell you, you are doing something right? You’re struggling. And you’re angry. And that’s okay. However, it’s HER HOUSE and she can choose the energy she wants around her.

First off you being a Trump supporter alone I doubt made her throw you out. And based on what you said it was after you said something about her and the family. You talked about her in public! And your family business with her! Of course she threw you out! You’re not talking about me and airing my personal business out and stay in my house to whattt? NO!

Trumptards always projecting and deflecting. No one can make you ‘homeless’ if you have a job! 7 years passed and apparently he still ain’t got one
