Rick Ross will have to wait a little longer for his day in court.

The Rap mogul’s arraignment, scheduled for Thursday (October 22), has been postponed after prosecutors failed to formally file charges in his ongoing domestic violence case.

Ross’ attorneys appeared in court for the proceedings, only for the hearing to be delayed.

Importantly, the case has not been dismissed. Instead, proceedings have been put on hold, with no new arraignment date announced.

The development comes after the 50-year-old was arrested on October 1 over allegations of domestic violence involving his ex-girlfriend, Jazzma Kendrick.

As previously reported, Kendrick accused the Hip-Hop heavyweight of physically assaulting her during their relationship.

She alleges that an Instagram post in which she was tagged prompted Ross to question whether she had been intimate with another man.

According to her account, each denial was met with physical violence, including being slapped and slammed into a wall.

Ross has firmly denied the allegations.

Indeed, the Maybach Music boss previously declared himself “totally innocent”, while his legal team questioned why Kendrick waited approximately a month after the alleged incident to contact police.

The rapper was released from custody on the same day as his arrest and did not personally attend Thursday’s proceedings.

For now, the case remains open, with no indication of when the next hearing will take place.
