His promo was nothing like the other top artist, he did no tv appearance on late night shows or daytime shows around his album release time. His album would’ve sold more if he would’ve did more promo on tv the first 3 months of his album released, intsead of waiting for all the awards shows, which most people either bought his album or down loaded it for free by the time Vmas came around.

I really enjoyed the 2011 Soul Train Award Show! I was so excited to see that finally, finally, finally, Miguel won the award for Best New Artist. Long overdue! But I was sure that after Wiz Kalifa (sp.?) and Bruno Mars kept pick-pocketing Miguel that he would eventually and ultimately not be passed by by the Soooul! Train! Congratulations, Miguel! Keep up the hot beats and the even hotter lyrics!! Imagine that, a singer who can actually sing!

Don’t quite understand some of the winners or what they based it off. Felt like if you showed up you were more likely to get an award. I don’t understand people talking about Beyonce negatively.
