Congratulations are certainly in order for Omarion.
For, after spending the last few years in what some might career limbo, he has inked a lucrative recording contract- with Rick Ross.
Peep the announcement below…
Ross revealed:
I ran into the homie, we had a few conversations and I flew him down to Miami and he played me a dozen records. I was amazed by the music he put together. We had a few conversations and we made a situation happen. He’s a phenomenal entertainer. His dancing is incredible. He’s an actor, he’s a writer. I thought it would be a great move for both of us. I’ve been looking to enter the R&B arena, I felt he was the best artist to kick the doors open.
Here’s hoping this works out for the best and Maybach has a feasible career for Omarion.
For, as we are currently witnessing with Bow Wow and Cash Money, all the money in the world couldn’t buy a come back if one’s ducks aren’t in order.
Ducks, which can only be aligned with the right funding, a real effort to redevelop Omarion’s fan base and a sound strong enough to compete with the market leader that is Chris Brown.
Either way, major congratulations.
cash money was omarions best bet until he messed that up but its a good look
I DON’T THINK CASH MONEY WOULD HAVE BEEN OMARIONS BEST BET. THEY HAVE A TENDENCY TO SIGN A LOT OF ARTISTS AND FAIL TO PUT THEIR ALBUM OUT FOR YEARS. BOW WOW, LIL TWIST, LIL CHUCKEE, AND THE LIST GOES ON. THE ONLY ARTISTS THAT RELEASE THEIR ALBUMS ON TIME ARE NICKI MINAJ, DRAKE, AND LIL WAYNE. THAT’S WHO CASH MONEY FOCUSES ON.
.the boy is talented but there’s just something about him that I can’t Rick with. Touch, Icebox, and Speeding were the only singles I’ve liked by him
@Fame Flopped… Yea I agree with everything you just wrote.
Bad choice for Rick Ross nobody checkin for him usher > Chris brown > trey songs > ne yo> Omarion
I’m here for anything that will give O the chance to show of his assets.
He have the best male voice! but he need it from good producters!!!! i wish him a lot of luck!!!! really really hope!
i dont see it for him.
he can dance but we have chris brown. vocally, hes very off and nasal.
Well said @SAM/TGJ! I couldn’t agree more!
O is a good singer and dancer. I hope something positive works out for him. I was shocked when he didn’t sign with YMCMB a few yrs back when that offer was on the table. Anyway congrats!
LOL leave Bow Wow alone 🙂
I really liked “Comfort,” so hopefully he has more joints of substance like that and fewer like that “Get It In” bull.
But, it’s funny how the industry works. In a just world, Omarion would be signing people like Rick Ross.
Chris is not the leader of the market. pushing albums back, singles aren’t doing that phenomenal. He gets a lot of publicity and that’s about it. FAME didn’t outsell Raymond V Raymond or even Passion, Pain, and Pleasure.
Usher is the market leader.
Omarion is talented; he can sing better than Chris Brown and Trey Songz, dance, and his songs are generally good. He needs to blow up again so there can be some variety.
Somehow I think he would have been in a much better position if he had actually been on the “Bedrock” chorus as originally planned. It would have been a great platform for him to build off of.
Ummmm….GIRRRL I strongly disagree with your statement Omarion Is a better singer than Chris Brown or Trey Songz. They aren’t the strongest singers but Omarion is extra nasally. He sounds congested when he sings. He really should get a vocal coach to work on that like yesterday.
Good for him getting back in the game but no thanks for me.
