It’s been almost 20 years since Jennifer Hudson and Fantasia competed on American Idol and both went on to win the hearts of the world with their respective successes.

‘Her Loss’ has 21 Savage feeling like a winner!
The chart-topping rapper may currently be enjoying the out-of-the-box success tied to his new joint album with Drake, but his hi,tmaking resume before the LP’s November 4 release speaks volumes. In addition to amassing four Billboard 200 top 10 albums since 2017 (two of which hit #1), the 30-year-old has also collected six Hot 100 top 10 smashes (including two #1s) and charted over 60 songs on the same tally.
Easily making him one of the era’s most popular emcees, Savage believes his lengthy list of hits towers leagues above many names in the Rap game – especially those that shared space with him on XXL’s coveted ‘Freshman Class’ list in 2016.
So much so, he even called them out by name in a recent interview.
This time last year Diddy was telling Jermaine Dupri he didn’t have “enough hits” to battle him in a VERZUZ competition.
What turned into a war of words between the label execs/Rap icons eventually saw them not only make a truce, but promise to bring a hit-for-hit duel between their respective labels – Bad Boy and So So Def – to fruition outside of the VERZUZ brand due to the legal combat its creators, Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, were having with Triller (the social media platform where the show is aired).
With that drama behind Tim and Swizz (as we reported here), it appears Dupri and co. are back on board and ready to bring their decades worth of jams to a stage and soon.
The real-life VERZUZ between the team of Swizz Beats and Timbaland and Triller has concluded.
And it appears it’s once again a case of kumbaya.

This time last year music mogul Diddy shot down a suggestion to engage in a musical battle Jermaine Dupri because he believed the So So Def founder didn’t ‘have enough hits’ (as we reported here).
The Bad Boy leader has since had a change of heart it seems as he’s not only changed his tune about the matter but is also hoping to change the venue that will see he and Dupri go head-to-head in a hits duel.
Details inside.
Timbaland and Swizz Beatz may have turned the musical battleground VERZUZ into a virtual sensation over the pandemic, but if they have their way it’s soon to be them versus Triller in a courtroom.
Look inside to see why they say it’s time for the social media platform to face the music.
Calls for iconic R&B boy bands Jodeci and Dru Hill to face off in a #VERZUZ battle have rang out for almost as long as the Timbaland and Swizz Beatz-helmed platform has been “a thing.”
Debate about who would take home the crown if the groups ever dueled hit a feverish pitch over the summer, leading the latter’s lead singer, Sisqo, to add his two cents to the ongoing conversation recently.
Look inside to hear what the 43-year-old had to say about the matter.
Omarion is speaking up and out about his vocal performance during his VERZUZ showdown with Mario.

For many of those watching VERZUZ last week, the ‘One Wish’ was that Ray J and comrades would sing in key during the now infamous spar.
Indeed, as witnessed by shocked onlookers, Ray, Bobby V, Pleasure P, and Sammie struggled in earnest with their respective takes on the 2005 hit.
Taking matters into his own hands, the 41-year-old father of two hit up his own dad – renowned vocal coach Willie Norwood – to help him out.

And his latest stop was Drink Champs with Norega.
As is to be expected from the popular show, the conversational discourse was wide-ranging and saw Brown dish on his new project, longevity in the music industry, and comparisons to his idol Michael Jackson.
One of the central topics was a possible VERZUZ battle with Usher; a battle many have been calling for ever since the platform emerged.
Head below to see what Brown has to say about it…
Omarion may be renowned for his zen demeanor, but it appears the aftermath of “that” VERZUZ showdown with Mario has the star saying “oh” for a multitude of reasons.
As reported, the latest installment of the battle series saw the ‘Icebox’ singer square off with the fellow 00’s launched crooner.
During the spar, Mario brought out B2K impersonators and joked about the group needing to iron out their much-publicized differences.
Various members of the group reacted on social media by posting a shady clip from The Temptations biopic.
And let’s just say Omarion didn’t see the funny side of the matter – lashing out at his former bandmates and Mario.
