Breaking: Grand Jury Indicts ONE Officer Responsible for Breonna Taylor Death / NO Murder or Manslaughter Charges

Published: Wednesday 23rd Sep 2020 by Rashad

It’s been over 6 months since officers from the Louisville Police Department shot to death African American EMT worker and aspiring nurse Breonna Taylor in her Kentucky home after breaking down the door to her apartment in execution of a late-night, “no-knock” warrant.

Inciting a firestorm of controversy in the wake of the incident, the department did eventually terminate Brett Hankison and banned “no-knock” warrants but the state justice system at large failed to bring said policeman on charges (click here to read more).

That fate was changed when a grand jury presented its official report and their findings were announced Wednesday (September 23).

Details inside:

As seen in the live video footage above, LMPD officer Hankison – who (by his own department’s admission) “blindly” fired 10 rounds in Taylor’s home – has been indicted on 3 counts of wanton endangerment in the 1st degree.  A Class D felony, the crime – if convicted – is punishable with fines of up to $10,000 and up to five years in prison per conviction.
The charge indictment is significantly less than the manslaughter or murder charges many had hoped for.
For months, protesters have criticized the length of the investigation and demanded the arrests of all officers involved.  At writing, it does not appear the state has any intent to charge other officers.
Louisville has prepared for the possibility of unrest from the decision. The city and the police department had already declared states of emergency and set up barricades restricting vehicle access to downtown areas, including stores and restaurants (which have boarded their windows) and federal buildings closed for the week.
The announcement comes a week after Taylor’s family was awarded a multi-million dollar settlement for her death.

    Disgusting and heartbreaking

Let’s be real. Those cops didn’t do anything malicious so most people can see why they weren’t arrested. If my black people would get more into fields of police, military, law They would understand things better than just basing things off of black and white.

I don’t think that’s true in this particular case. How can this one former officer be accountable for wrongly firing into the apartment but not be held responsible for the death that resulted from those shots? That is unacceptable. All six officers need to be held accountable like any other group that would go down for having some role in a homicide. And there’s no way they knocked and announced themselves before gaining entry. Why else go through the process of obtaining a special no-knock warrant?

      • Cody+s September 23, 2020

See you aren’t making any sense. Why would 6 officers be responsible for 1 officer shooting her. There’s no way they can stop bullets or prevent another officer from shooting. Then it shows you don’t know the lie. Why would you charge an officer for doing something wrong but his intent was not wrong. You don’t charge doctors who do the exact same thing. They are protected. Sure you’ll get insurance money but that’s it. first responders save way more lives than they Have ever killed.

      • ERIC September 23, 2020

@Cody. For the same reason you and I would face charges if we had any active role in an event that led to someone’s wrongful death. More than 20 shots were fired from the officers collectively. It’s called complicity.

Yeah they didn’t do anything but murder people without knocking on their door. SO when a cop mistakenly shoots you in your sleep, don’t be surprised.

A “no-knock” warrant was issued due to arms deals. In order to not alert anyone and end up being shot. Which they were shot at anyway and fired back. Stop the nonsense.

    • eric September 23, 2020

Former boyfriend who she no longer associated with.

      • Shayla Queen 👑 September 23, 2020

        That’s a lie…

He was even in her home at the time of the shooting as he told Police that he was the one who fired shots at them, not her. They had fired shots in the direction to where they heard shots coming towards them which ended up being her. So I believe she fired those shots. Regardless of who fired the shots, shots were fired at Police so they fired back. It really is that simple.

no gives a s*** what you ‘believe’ you nasty yeasty saggy dry p**** b****. you don’t have evidence to back your disgusting claims so shut the f*** up

      • Shayla Queen 👑 September 23, 2020

There is plenty of evidence. In fact, it’s pretty much everywhere if you look. Or stay blinded and ignorant.

      • ERIC September 23, 2020

@Shayla. You are spreading misinformation. The man in the home at the time was her CURRENT boyfriend, Kenneth Walker. The man they wanted and had already picked up was her FORMER boyfriend, Jamarcus Glover.

“He’s gonna won anyway”??? Yeah, you definitely write like one of his supporters. You’re all illiterate and living in trailer parks while supporting millionaires who don’t give a damn about you. But you just want enough money from farming to brush your three remaining teeth, so you put on that red hat and scream MAGA. 🙄🙄 Girl bye

The family settled for $12 million outside of court. This was an agreement they made to get paid. Why are people surprised?!

  8. 4U2SEE September 24, 2020

If they wasn’t black, living a normal people life by her working to serve people in EMS which is affiliated with the law; this wouldn’t have happened. If she decided not to have children with a black man. this wouldn’t have happened. Wait… Do she have any child?? Well, Breonna should’ve became a narcissist, followed white people instead of hanging around black people, worried about what they thought of blackness to save her life. At least tried to impress them by becoming a puppet in entertainment or something. Sheeit!!!! R.I.P…..
