Heard about ‘Black Mirror‘, never seen it, can’t understand why everyone and their mother is obsessed and would like to know why they’re so obsessed?
Here’s the answer. Armed with a brilliant and beautiful racially diverse cast, the series pulls its viewers into the weird and wonderful world of Sci-Fi and magic realism with cinematic episodes built to shock.
Its most celebrated episode? San Junipero.
However, following the release of its fourth season, the show seems to have found another winner in ‘USS Callister’ and may be considering building an entire show around it following the epic response it garnered.

The episode’s director had this to say about the episode during an interview with ‘The Hollywood Reporter.’
I was talking with Louise Sutton, who produced this and “Metalhead,” and she cooked up a brilliant idea of spinning it off into a TV series. I’d love to do a TV series of “USS Callister” — it’s probably one of the best pilots for a space show ever. And I made it! So I’m keen to see it as a TV series. I think Charlie might revisit it as a Black Mirror. Whether I’m the one to do it, I don’t know. Being a fan of the show as much as I am, and being a part of making it, I’d love to work with that crew and cast again. It’s a gift for a director. There’s so much you could do. Fingers crossed, you never know.
Exciting!
Fans of the Ghanaian actress Michaela Coel will know that she stars in the episode alongside Jesse Plemons, Cristin Millioti and Osy Ikhile and took to social media to praise her performance.

Episode 1- USS Callister
Quintessential Black Mirror. It was light compared to other episodes from past seasons. I found myself laughing many times throughout this episode (Michaela Coel was my fave.) Visually, it was hella appealing; the storyline was dope. 8/10 pic.twitter.com/dhVA7pE0mx— Rice and Peas Mami Yuh Done Kno Already?? (@oxtailbone) January 2, 2018
