Simmons is accused of carrying out a number of violent attacks on a number of women and girls and has been accused of fleeing to Asia to escape the media scrutiny the accusations has placed him under.
Today, his alleged victims have received a wave of praise from viewers who now believe that he committed the crimes he is accused of committing after watching the doc.
See their responses, some colourful, below…
I watched On The Record last night about the rapist Russell Simmons, and it is heartbreaking that some black women never spoke out about their attack because they wanted to protect “the culture.”

Simmons denies all of the allegations and had this to say in a recent interview with ‘The Breakfast Club’…
I can never say that someone doesn’t feel victimized. I can tell you that I don’t feel that I victimized them, Back then, I thought it was a game…. There were no Black actresses that I didn’t date and they’re my friends today,” Simmons explained. “They don’t have the experience of me being a monster the movie makes me out to be.
Watching this On the Record doc sobbing at this woman telling her story about Russell Simmons. That coward not only assaulted her, he took her dream from her.

This On The Record doc on HBOMax is so well done. My goodness, they really go deep into not just Russell Simmons "rape accusations" but history, black man and woman dynamics, the history of prominent cases involving black women, they did alot & its hitting.
