Full story below…

London has been confirmed to star as  Rap icon’s late mother, Beverly Tate.

According to Deadline, London joins Jonathan Daviss, who will portray a young Snoop, while Myles Bullock recently boarded the film as Dr. Dre.

Tate, who died in 2021, played an integral role in shaping the life and path of her son.

A church choir director, she famously gave her son the nickname “Snoopy” due to his childhood love of the ‘Peanuts’ character.

Suffice it to say, it’s a name that stuck in the most iconic way.

The casting also brings London’s journey with Snoop full circle. Before her breakout acting success, the Los Angeles native appeared in his 2002 ‘From tha Chuuuch to da Palace’ video and later popped up in the ever-blazing ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ visual.

On the personal front, Snoop stood by London in the wake of the 2019 death of her longtime partner, Nipsey Hussle/

Directed by Craig Brewer, ‘Snoop’ arrives in theaters August 6, 2027, and will feature bops from the Hip-Hop veteran’s expansive music catalogue.

We’ll be watching. Will you?
