The Lion King returns to the big screen – and this time with a brand new story to tell.
‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ aptly centers on the character of Mufasa and serves as a prequel to the events that unfolded in the classic 1994 film and the sequels that followed.
Anchored in the live-action format that powered Disney‘s 2019 revival of ‘The Lion King,’ the new movie is directed by Academy Award winner Barry Jenkins.
Aaron Pierre leads in the titular role of Mufasa and will star alongside Kelvin Harrison Jr (who features as Taka).
With the film set for a December 20 release, the first look trailer has been unleashed.
