The ‘Power’ universe expands with the premiere of ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’ – the second spinoff of the wildly popular STARZ.

Lifting off tomorrow (July 18) the show serves as a prequel that follows young a “Kanan Stark” (Mekai Curtis) as he learns the ins and outs of the drug game in New York in the ’90s.

Produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, the series stars Omar Epps, Hailey Kilgore, Joey Bada$$, Toby Sandeman, Shanley Caswell, London Brown, Malcolm Mays, Lovie Simone, and Quincy Brown alongside others.

That Grape Juice‘s Chet Kincaid caught up with the cast ahead of the show’s debut. Check out their fun-filled interview above.

Over a year after Jussie Smollett plead not guilty over renewed felony charges stemming from his alleged 2019 hate crime incident, the 39-year-old maintained his innocence in a Chicago hearing Wednesday (July 14).

Referring to the legal proceedings as “dog and pony show” as he entered the courtroom, the former ‘Empire’ star addressed his ‘filing a false police report’ case again – this time to a judge who will determine the next steps regarding the fate of one of his lawyers.

The ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ is back, which means the Grand Dame Karen Huger is too.

Ever outspoken, the 58-year-old star stopped by The Wendy Williams Show today, where she dished on season 6 of the Bravo hit and much more.

Chatting it up with the former shock jock, Huger opened up about what folk can expect from the show’s latest instalment, her vow renewal with husband Ray, Monique Samuels‘ exit, and her longstanding feud with Gizelle Bryant – who she insists has a “hot box.”

Monday (July 12) marked Bill Cosby‘s 84th birthday – an occasion all the more noteworthy as it comes as his first as a free man since being imprisoned in 2018 after a conviction on three counts of felony aggravated indecent assault.

It’s officially a wrap on the live-action adaptation of ‘The Little Mermaid.’

Halle Bailey is set to make an almighty splash as lead Ariel in the big-budget Disney adventure – which stars Melissa McCarthy as adversary Ursula, as well as Jonah Hauer-King (Eric), Awkwafina (Scuttle), and Daveed Diggs (Sebastian).

The global health crisis saw production halted a number of times. However, with perseverance, the cast and crew have completed production on the hotly anticipated flick.

Reflecting on the news, Bailey – who rose to prominence as part of sister duo Chloe x Halle – shared emotional words.
