After scoring high with viewers and critics alike with its inaugural season in 2021, ‘The Wonder Years’ – inspired by the classic, award-winning 80’s TV series of the same name – is set to return to screens this summer to continue telling the story of the Williams family.

Starring Elisha “EJ” Williams, Dulé Hill, Amari O’Neil, Milan Ray, Allen Maldonado, Spence Moore II, Saycon Sengbloh, Laura Kariuki, Julian Lerner, and Don Cheadle (as narrator), the 60’s-set comedy is delivered from the point of view of an imaginative Black 12-year-old who is balancing his coming-of-age narrative against the backdrop of the civil rights movement and more.

This weekend will see The Weeknd make his primetime TV debut in the new HBO series, ‘The Idol.’

Set to premiere June 4, the show sees the superstar (Abel Tesfaye) take on the role of a self-help guru and leader of a modern-day cult who begins a complicated relationship with an up-and-coming Pop idol (played by Lily-Rose Depp).

Directed by Sam Levinson (the mastermind creator of ‘Euphoria)’ and co-produced by The Weeknd, the series promises a “sick and twisted” rollercoaster ride – of the ilk few have seen before.

‘The Little Mermaid’ is here!

Disney‘s reimagining of the beloved tale makes history with Halle Bailey in the lead role of Ariel – signifying the first time the character has been portrayed by a Black woman.

The film at large, which easily serves as one of the year’s most eagerly anticipated offerings, celebrates diversity in all its forms and is already being hailed a game-changing ahead of its global release on May 26.

That Grape Juice was on-hand at the London premiere of ‘The Little Mermaid’ and caught up with Bailey, as well as the film’s cast such as Jonah Hauer-King, Daveed Diggs, and more. All of whom spoke about the seismic impact of this version of the classic narrative.

Having already sat on radio and chart thrones with her bevy of dancefloor-ready hits, ‘Queen of Bounce’ Big Freedia is looking to extend that reign to TV ratings with ‘Big Freedia Means Business.’

Delivered by ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ producer World of Wonder, the eight-part docuseries follows Freedia as she navigates the ups-and-downs of success, new business ventures, and trying to balance fame with personal relationships.

“World of Wonder has been so graciously involved in the telling of my life, I am beyond thrilled that the series will air on WOW Presents Plus in the U.K. I’m excited to tell my story, share my hard work and for this documentary series to showcase a side of me that many won’t have had the chance to see yet,” Freedia shared in an official statement.
