‘Insecure‘s third season had us hooked!

The HBO comedy has struck a chord with millions thanks to its wonderfully witty and immersive take on the story of two friends – Issa and Molly.

‘Girls Trip’ proved to be the surprise smash few saw coming.

Unleashed last summer, the comedy – starring Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett, Regina Hall, and Tiffany Haddish – delivered big business at the box office. Indeed, made on a $20 million budget, the flick generated a whopping $140 million worldwide – making it one of the most successful releases of last year.

Naturally, anticipation is high for a follow-up – even though it hadn’t yet been announced.

Despite last year’s Primetime Emmy Awards boasting a slight improvement in ratings from its predecessor, the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards (which aired live from the Los Angeles Microsoft Theater on September 17th) took that promising trend back downward.

Drawing a record-low audience, this year’s showing – hosted by Michael Che and Colin Jost of ‘Saturday Night Live’ – saw an 11 percent drop in viewership compared to the last two years.
