At this point, the boys of BTS should be all too used to seeing the phrase “history-making” aligned with their name.

As we reported Sunday (November 29), the group’s fifth Korean-language studio album – ‘BE’ – not only topped the Billboard 200 but also put the septet in history books for a number of accomplishments including becoming the first K-Pop group to score five #1 albums in the United States, fastest accrual of five Billboard 200 chart-toppers for any group of the Soundscan era, and first group (second act overall) to score two #1 albums this year alone.

Now, they’re making history on the Billboard Hot 100 side as well.  See how inside:

Tekno is staging a takeover on a global scale.

The Afrobeats royal has galvanized a growing fanbase with flavoursome jams such as ‘Pana’ and ‘Skeletun,’ and has been an instrumental in establishing Africa’s footprint on the international scene. A trajectory that extends beyond his own music, having produced Davido‘s international breakthrough ‘If.’

Armoured with that momentum, as well as the buzz he drummed up by appearing on Beyonce‘s ‘Lion King: The Gift,’ Tekno has officially announced his debut album ‘Old Romance.’

Set for release on December 10, the hotly anticipated project sees the star take fans on a journey through a classic Nollywood love story.

With lead single ‘Enjoy’ making a splash, the star sat down with That Grape Juice‘s Samuel Eni to dish on his new music, working with Beyonce as well as Drake, and Billie Eilish being a big fan of his.

Miley Cyrus says she’s just as “frustrated” as her fans over an apparent mishap with the distribution of her new album ‘Plastic Hearts.’

As reported, the LP is on-track to open with soft numbers – despite the buzz established by preceding singles ‘Midnight Sky’ and ‘Prisoner (ft. Dua Lipa’).

While streaming has, for most, become the primary means of selling units, Cyrus’ sales ratio indicates her base still actively purchase traditional formats.

And that is where the singer’s gripe is rooted.

Not even two weeks ago, BTS learned their first album of the year – the March-released ‘Map of the Soul: 7’ – made history as the first and only pure Pop LP released and certified Platinum this year (as Taylor Swift‘s ‘Folklore,’ Halsey‘s ‘Manic,’ and Platinum-sellers were classified as alternative genres).

Now, it appears their second set – the November 20-released ‘BE’ – is poised to follow in its predecessors footsteps.

Kicked off by the chart-topping hit, ‘Dynamite,’ and its follow-up single, ‘Life Goes On,’ the K-Pop septet endured an aggressive promo onslaught in support of the tunes’ parent project – lending performances to almost every major American award show this year.

The hard work easily granted them the week’s highest sales prediction as industry analysts projected the Korean-English album would shift over 260,000 across its first seven days of sales tracking.

Look inside to see how close they came to that predicted figure:
