Having already thrilled music lovers with the Jessie J-assisted ‘Heaven Bound’ and Anthony Hamilton-enlisted ‘Alone A Lot,’ hitmaking duo Louis York (comprised of singer-songwriters Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony) have tapped R&B powerhouse Tamia for the new song ‘Three Little Words.’

Like ‘Heaven’ and ‘Alone,’ ‘Words’ is found aboard York’s forthcoming album ‘Songs With Friends.’

“You made me open my heart too soon / And I wasn’t ready and neither were you / But now it’s said and done / I know that we both want to run / But what if we give in to what we’re running from,” the trio croon on the touching new tune.

Fantasia embraces the ‘Superpower’ embedded within self on her stirring new release.

The uplifting anthem, which was written by The-Dream, serves as the end-credits song on the soundtrack for ‘The Color Purple’ – which the American Idol alum leads in the role of Celie.

Shortlisted for Oscar consideration, Fantasia said of the track:

“Not only is this a song that is so meaningful to the story of The Color Purple, it’s also a song that speaks to my personal life experience. 20 years after the Lindsay Lohan-led ‘Mean Girls’ stormed theaters and history books to become the cinematic cult classic it is today, its Broadway musical adaptation is looking for a similar response at the box office of the classic with its January 12 opening.

To accompany its wide release, the movie’s official soundtrack has landed on major digital streaming platforms.

Led by the Renee Rapp and Megan Thee Stallion tag team ‘Not My Fault‘ (which serves as one of two brand new original tracks featured), many of the rest of the songs – performed by the new film’s cast Rapp, Angourie Rice, Auliʻi Cravalho, Jaquel Spivey, and others – are updated takes on favorites from the Broadway adaptation.

Dua Lipa is lighting up the promotional trail in support of her latest single, ‘Houdini.’

The track, which was unlocked last November, has been heating up the scene and looks set to be a focus for the Pop starlet as the journey to album #3 cranks up a notch.

Igniting a match anew under the release, Lipa has unveiled a live London Sessions rendition of the catchy cut.

To date, ‘Houdini’ has peaked at #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #2 on the Official UK Singles Chart.

Two years after soaring to the Billboard 200’s top 20 with his last studio album, ‘Entergalactic,’ rapper-actor Kid Cudi is aiming for even higher heights on the hitlist with its follow-up ‘Insano.’

Originally due on digital shelves in September 2023, the January 12-released project – which has been teased as far back as 2021 – comes as a 21-song affair that boasts a who’s who of Hip-Hop guests across its tracklist including Young Thug, Lil Wayne, Travis Scott DJ Drama, ASAP Rocky, Lil Yachty, Pharrell Williams, XXXTentacion, and more.

Ahead of the Friday arrival of the standard version, Cudi had already teased there would be a deluxe edition with nearly double the tracks.

Over time, many a hit made the rounds amongst a multitude of artists before its eventual release and resonance.

And it’s emerged that such was the case with Kylie Minogue‘s viral smash, ‘Padam Padam.’

Housed on the legend’s latest album ‘Tension,’ the track was launched as its lead offering and took all the way off – peaking within the top 10 of charts worldwide.

It even earned Minogue a nomination at the forthcoming GRAMMY Awards 2024.

However, its producer Lostboy has revealed that the track was almost Rita Ora‘s.

For Usher, all roads lead to the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime 2024.

And it’s been a long road; one the performer has been dancing down for 30 years.

In a new commercial promoting the eagerly anticipated spectacle, the hitmaker leans into the three-decade journey to this monumental moment – which takes place on February 11 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The performance will be preceded by the release of Usher’s 9th studio album ‘Coming Home,’ which will arrive on February 9.
