Alicia Keys has been making headlines aplenty since embracing a make-up-less look for her return to the spotlight.

The move, which she says is designed to promote self-love, has earned praise from countless corners. However, a select pocket of people have taken to social media to slam the 15-time Grammy winner for her appearance.

Of such episodes, the latest played out at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards which Keys attended rocking the look above.

Fed up with the shade grenades, the singer’s producer husband Swizz Beatz took to Instagram in the early hours of this morning to hit back.

Social media was sent into a frenzy earlier this year when news hit that The Spice Girls were reuniting.

It’s been 20 years since the iconic five-piece went from ‘Wannabe’s to the biggest band in the world. A fact which makes the present a fitting time to celebrate their career.

As reported though, not all members are willing a comeback – namely Victoria Beckham and Mel C.

Beckham’s lack of involvement in the proposed set of anniversary shows was confirmed from the get go, yet Sporty Spice’s attachment was billed as being in limbo.

In a new interview with The Love Magazine, the 42-year-old mother of one dispels confusion. She will indeed not be a part of Spice Girls GEM (which folk have since learned is an acronym for Geri/Emma/Mel).

It may have been a decade since model-with-a-mic Cassie scored her last hit, but if recent news she shared with E! News is any indication, she is on the road to making sure her list of hits gets a new entry before year 11 rolls around.

Indeed, more than 3 years since her critically acclaimed mixtape ‘RockAByeBaby,’ the vocal-less has revealed she’s been hard at work with famed producer Detail to craft her comeback.

“I did a lot of records with Detail,” she explained. “We have a single coming up called ‘Makeup,’ which I think the ladies are gonna love…coming soon.”
